About Yvette’s Recipes
Welcome to my scrapbook of delicious recipes.
It’s my pleasure to share these recipes with you.
I’ve always liked to cook from when I attended the Hotelmanagement School in the Netherlands, learning all the basics, including cooking with cream and butter and meat……but the last years… my goal of cooking has changed into a more healthy style.
Sometimes its vegetarian, or vegan or even Raw food…! Then people ask me “Are you a vegan?”
My answer is usually the same… I do eat vegan dishes but “no I am not a vegan’ because at the end of the row I don’t believe into ‘going extreme’.
I like ‘moderation’ , it has it’s origin in my European roots . Therefor I do have days that I love to eat some fish or meat (organic ofcourse!) with a nice glass of wine!
I have read many books about nutrition and all kinds of different diets.
All of them have one thing in common!
EATING VEGETABLES IS GOOD FOR YOU!
VEGGIES are the most important food source. ..unfortunately it’s the ONE thing missing on so many peoples plate.
When I am making my lunch or the family dinner, one thing is always on my mind:…………
“how many veggies can I add into this meal?”
So “ Think Veggies” when you cook!
Therefor I like to challenge you and try some of my salads or smoothies or other dishes …and discover how tasty vegetables can be.
The last years, staying in Maui so often, I have also been very surprised myself how tasty vegetables can be, especially ‘cooking’ raw, which is often in combination with nuts… makes incredible tasty dishes…and even desserts!!!
One of my inspirations in the ‘raw/vegan’ area is Renee Loux, who is a trendsetter in the sustainable food movement. You will find some of her recipes in my collection and you can also find the link to her own website;
Have fun exploring and enjoy your meal!
Love Yvette
P.S. :My website is still in progress…my excuses for any mistake.
